ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENT

REFLECTION
Architecture and Environment helped me in understanding the topic of sustainability a bit better. Mainly centered on lighting, ventilation, thermal comfort and acoustics, I was able to understand what passive design is. I also learned that it was one of the many big responsibilities of an architect, as the human factor is indeed a very crucial element to consider while designing.
 
The two assignments given were great ways to learn more about the module. I was able to gain a lot of knowledge while doing personal research on new concepts like reading sun path and psychometric charts. Given that they were both group assignments, we were able to overcome the workload and even though we struggled a bit with the deadline, we were satisfied with the outcome. While dividing the work for the second assignment, I was in charge of 3D modelling, which I had to self-learn in a very short period of time. However, the group supported each other and we managed to progress smoothly.
 
Lastly, the lecturers and tutors have all been of great help throughout the whole semester, specially Dr. Siti  , our assigned tutor, who has patiently and actively given us feedback.
