Project 2: Construction Detailing of Building Elements

In order to improve our knowledge and comprehension of construction through drawings, this assignment was focused on building construction and detailing. The importance of addressing building processes, structural integration, material selection, and other complicated concerns in the design process was emphasised, as was the relationship between design and technical knowledge. The assignment's goals included fostering a comprehension of structural components, exhibiting awareness of real-world building development considerations, and showcasing aptitude for construction manual drawing. We worked in groups to create a construction drawing set that outlined the structural components of a double-story terraced house made of timber. Each drawing was to be completed to specific scales separately on an A3-sized paper, and a model was also necessary.
